Happens
The academic facilities of SIRS have been designed with a single purpose: to remove every impediment to good teaching and engaged learning. Classrooms are bright, orderly, and well-equipped. Every secondary classroom has a smart interactive display. The primary classrooms are decorated with purpose, colourful, stimulating environments designed to make young learners feel that this place was built specifically for them.
The computer laboratory is equipped with networked terminals and supervised by trained faculty. Artificial Intelligence has been introduced as an optional subject from Class VI, one of the few schools in Himachal Pradesh to do so at this level. The school library is stocked with a range of reference, fiction, and non-fiction titles appropriate to every age group in the school.
The science laboratories, Physics, Chemistry, and Biology, are equipped to CBSE standards and used regularly throughout the academic year. Laboratory work is not considered supplementary to the curriculum at SIRS, it is integral to it.

Below the main building, carved into the natural contours of the Bilaspur hillside, lie the outdoor sporting facilities of SIRS. The blue basketball and tennis courts, visible from the aerial photographs and striking in their colour against the green hillside, are professional-grade facilities that support the school’s inter-house sporting programme throughout the year.

Shooting Range
The on-campus shooting range at SIRS is, by any measure, an extraordinary facility for a school of this kind. A fully equipped indoor range with professional targets, electronic scoring systems, and supervised training lanes, it provides students with access to a discipline that very few schools in India, at any level, can offer.
Shooting as a competitive sport demands qualities that transfer directly to every other area of life: an absolute stillness of body, a composed and focused mind, the patience to wait for the right moment, and the discipline to repeat the same action with the same quality of attention hundreds of times. These are precisely the qualities SIRS is built to cultivate.
The range is used under professional supervision and is available to students from an appropriate age. SIRS intends to develop competitive shooters capable of representing the school, the district, and ultimately the state at inter-school and national competitions.
