Co-curricular Activities

Life at Shiva International Residential School extends well beyond the classroom. The School’s co-curricular programme gives students regular opportunities to develop in music, the arts, drama, and sport, to compete through the house system, to pursue interests through specialist clubs, and to engage with the world beyond the campus through educational excursions.

Co-curricular Activities

The arts, music, and performance are a regular part of school life. These activities run alongside the academic timetable and are open to students across all classes.

Music

Students receive instruction in both vocal and instrumental music. Singing, rhythm, and musical appreciation are part of the regular timetable from the Foundation stage upwards. Students perform at school gatherings, house events, and cultural programmes through the year.

Arts and Craft

Drawing, painting, and craft work are offered across all stages of the school. Students develop observational skills, creative expression, and manual dexterity through structured projects. Work produced during these sessions is regularly displayed within the School.

Drama

Drama builds confidence, public presence, and the ability to work as part of an ensemble. Students participate in classroom performances, house cultural programmes, and annual school productions. The work covers scripted performance, improvisation, and stagecraft.

Sculpting

Sculpting develops spatial thinking, patience, and a sensitivity to form and texture. Students work with clay and other materials to create three-dimensional work, applying skills that complement those developed in drawing and fine art.
