The Shiva Group
Legacy
The Shiva Group of Institutions was established in 2007 by Mr. Purushotam Sharma through the Shiva Educational Society. In the eighteen years since, the Group has built seven institutions across Himachal Pradesh, covering teacher education, engineering, pharmacy, ayurveda, and school education. Shiva International Residential School is the most recent.
Seven Institutions Across Himachal Pradesh
The Shiva Group of Institutions was founded in 2007 through the Shiva Educational Society. The Group began with a single college of education in Bilaspur and has since grown to include institutions covering engineering, polytechnic training, pharmacy, ayurvedic medicine, veterinary pharmacist training, and school education.
Over eighteen years, each institution established by the Group has been among the first of its kind in the region. Shiva B.Ed. College was Bilaspur’s first college of education. Shiva Engineering College was the first engineering college in the district. Shiva Ayurvedic Medical College was the first institution in Himachal Pradesh to offer postgraduate education in Ayurveda.
Shiva International Residential School is the Group’s first residential school and its most recent institution. It draws on the experience accumulated across all previous institutions, in running academic programmes, managing student life, and working with students at different stages of their education.
