The Same Education. Different Hours.
Whether your child enrols as a Day Scholar or a full Boarder, they receive an identical education at SIRS. The same teachers, the same curriculum, the same house, the same standards. The only difference is where they spend their evenings.
Day Scholar
Our Day Scholar programme is designed for families who live within a reasonable distance of the school and wish to provide their child with a balanced education combined with home life. Day Scholars receive the full curriculum and participate in all academic and co-curricular activities alongside boarders.
Full Boarding
Our Full Boarding programme develops independence, resilience, and community responsibility. Boarders live on campus in one of our four houses, under the care of dedicated houseparents and staff. They participate in all academic pursuits alongside the structured rhythms of residential life.
Which Is Right for Your Child?
The choice between Day Scholar and Boarding depends on your family’s circumstances, your child’s maturity level, and your educational philosophy. Both pathways offer the same rigorous academics and values formation. Here are some considerations to guide your decision.
Day Scholar may suit you if…
- Your family lives within a reasonable distance of Bilaspur
- You want your child home each evening
- Your child benefits from the stability of a home environment
- You prefer to manage evenings and weekends yourselves
Boarding may suit you if…
- Your family lives at a distance from Bilaspur
- You want your child to develop independence and self-reliance early
- You value the structure and community of residential school life
- You believe the full residential experience is the richer one
If you are unsure, we encourage you to visit the campus and speak with the Principal before deciding. An open conversation about your family’s needs will help us guide you to the choice that is right for your child.
