Every student at SIRS is a member of at least one club. Six structured clubs, from the literary to the scientific, the artistic to the civic, meeting throughout the year and culminating in the Annual Cultural Day.

Every student at SIRS is a member of at least one club. The six clubs represent the school’s commitment to providing structured, purposeful co-curricular activity across the full range of human interest. Clubs meet regularly throughout the year and culminate in the Annual Cultural Day, at which their work is presented to the whole school community.
Club I
Literary Club
Language · Writing · Debate
The power of language, spoken, written, and debated. The Literary Club is the home of students who love words, who understand that the capacity to express oneself clearly and persuasively is not only a skill but a form of power. The club participates in inter-school literary competitions and nurtures the writers, speakers, and readers who carry the school’s name beyond its gates.

Cultural Club
Heritage · Dance · Drama
India’s heritage, celebrated with pride. The Cultural Club is at the heart of the school’s identity as an institution rooted in Indian values while open to the world. It organises the school’s cultural calendar, seasonal celebrations, national occasions, cultural performances, and the Annual Cultural Day. The club’s productions draw on India’s vast traditions of dance, music, drama, and storytelling.

Environmental Club
Nature · Ecology · Stewardship
Stewardship of the natural world. Set against the forested Himalayan landscape of Bilaspur, the Environmental Club has the most vivid possible classroom for its work. The club cultivates in its members a genuine understanding of ecological systems and a personal commitment to environmental stewardship, connecting the school’s extraordinary natural setting to the students’ sense of responsibility for it.

Science & Technology Club
STEM · AI · Innovation
Curiosity in action, from principle to model. Students design, build, and present models and experiments that go beyond any textbook, from scale models of India’s defence systems such as the BrahMos missile and the Tejas fighter jet, to working science fair projects. The club also provides the context for the school’s Artificial Intelligence elective, giving students an environment to explore emerging technology with guided curiosity.

Creative Arts Club
Visual Arts · Craft · Making
Making things of quality, with hands and intention. The Creative Arts Club provides time, materials, and mentorship for students to produce work of genuine artistic quality. Drawing, painting, craft, textile arts, and mixed-media work are all explored. The club’s output is displayed throughout the school, making the campus itself a gallery of student work, and showcased at the Annual Cultural Day.

MUN Club
Diplomacy · Debate · IIMUN
Global issues. Structured debate. Real responsibility. The MUN Club is the most formally structured of the six clubs, and, for many students, the most significant. Working under the school’s formal partnership with IIMUN (India International Model United Nations), club members are trained in UN procedures, assigned country delegations, and required to research, write, and argue positions on live global issues.
